Hey Blog #8: Visita Iglesia

Welcome to Hey blog!
Hey Blog basically is where I share to you guys my day ,week, throw back stories or just about anything! This is my way of putting my memories to the interweb and for you to also get to know me a bit more.

It’s Holy week and yesterday we did our annual Visita Iglesia and I would like to share to guys how I spent my Holy Thursday. For those who aren’t familiar, Visita Iglesia is a Roman Catholic tradition of Visiting seven different churches and say our prayers while remembering the sacrifices of Jesus for us.

This year, we planned on visiting the Rizal Province but we first stopped by the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Quezon city. We didn’t do our station of the cross there but said our prayers in their chapel. But what I’ve noticed is that people who are participating in the stations of the cross are given a cross to carry until they finish the stations. It’s really amazing to see these practice for us to somewhat feel the burden of the cross that Jesus lifted to save us.

Then right after we went to Regina Rosarii Institute for Contemplation in Asia at Tanay Rizal. This year, we did not plan on visiting seven different churches because we know that the traffic would be so bad so we chose a place where there is really a designated area to do the stations of the cross.

It was a long and hot station of the cross but I did it! Almost gave up half way through because of the heat and it was a long walk and climb to reach the last station.

It was a long and hard climb but the view is certainly worthy. My legs hurts so bad but it’s nothing compared to what Jesus felt carrying our cross.

And that is it for today’s blog!
May you find peace in your hearts
