Mask Review: Face Republic Face Mask Soothing Aloe Extract

I’m back for another mask review and today I’m going to share my thoughts about this aloe mask. This is also my first time trying out a product from the brand FACE REPUBLIC.

I have seen a lot of good reviews about their mask from different bloggers so I decided to try it out myself. I only bought one which is their Aloe variant because I really love Aloe mask.

FACE REPUBLIC is a Korean brand that is said to be affordable but at the same time has a really good quality products. Their product ranges from face masks, BB cream, sun gel, and cleanser.

Relax your skin with immediate hydration and moisturizing from Aloe Extract.

Price: Php 49.00 or $1

Ingredients: Some notable ingredients include,  Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Witch Hazel Water, Methylparaben, Fragrance and Propylparaben.

So this mask does have parabens and even added fragrance so if you are sensitive to those ingredients you might want to skip this mask.

Packaging:  A very simple matte packaging with an Aloe Vera picture. All the information needed are at the back of the mask and are in English.

Scent: One of the reasons why I love Aloe mask is the scent, I really love the fresh scent of the Aloe and just overall smells relaxing to me. Unfortunately, this Aloe mask smells like cotton candy or something sweet. Personally, I really don’t like sweet scent so that threw me a little bit off.

Sheet Mask details: The sheet was a little bit thick for my liking. As you can see in the picture it doesn’t stick too well on my face. However, I like the fit, I covered my huge forehead.

  • When I put the mask on face the scent wasn’t that overpowering so thank goodness.
  • I personally would like a little bit more essence since the sheet was thick I feel like it didn’t have enough essence.
  • I did feel that my face was hydrated but there was that tacky feeling.

Final Verdict: Given the scent, the thickness of the mask, the tacky feeling I will not purchase this again but I am willing to try out their other variant which is Rice and snail just to see if there is a hidden gem in their mask line.

I did have high hopes for this mask since I have seen a lot of people loving this but this just didn’t work out too well on me. In this moment, the perfect GIF would be Tyra Banks shouting I WAS ROOTING FOR YOU!
