Today’s review is a mix of skincare and makeup. I was chosen by Style Korean to try out It’s Skin’s latest Cica Tiger line. Price: $22 or Php 1150

Weight: 15g cream and the whole products weights 100g or 0.22lbs

Description and Claims:

“A tone up cushion evens and brightens up dull skin tone. It is suitable for those who wish for elegant base make up or those who would like to have lightweight texture base make up product.”

For those who are confused with Tone-up creams, basically it is a cream that is  created to make your skin tone look brighter and fight hyper pigmentation and discoloration. Tone Up Creams are with the same family of BB and CC Creams and it can also act as your sunscreen and primer.

This tone up cushion has SPF50+ PA++++. It also has It’s Skin famous “no sebum mineral powder” to give that  matte finish but still will make your face glow.

Ingredients:  Notable ingredients include 33% Centalla Asiatica Extracts and other plant extracts. This cushion also includes ingredients from It’s Skin’s famous power 10 essence line and takes pride in producing products that doesn’t have any harmful chemicals such as Paraben, Phenoxyethanol and Surfactant.

How to use: You can use this as your first step in your makeup routine or your base. I used this as is and then set it with a translucent powder.

Packaging: This cushion comes in your typical cushion pact. This cushion however, doesn’t come with a refill. The box contains information in Korean except the ingredients list but there is a complete detailed information on Style Korean’s website.

 Experience:

  • First of, the packaging and color is super cute however I didn’t like the puff that it came with since I felt it was too rubbery and I felt that it was a bit hard to blend the product using it. This also didn’t come with a refill and upon checking the website, they don’t sell any.
  • This cushion has an herb like scent and maybe that’s because of the Centella Asiatica since they don’t add any fragrance.
  • This does it’s claim to brighten up the face and give it a glowy finish. It doesn’t make my face look greyish or too white.
  • One more thing I noticed with this cushion is that, it has great oil control. Whenever I use this, I don’t feel like I am an oily mess and to think that I only use this and just set it with a regular setting powder.

Final thoughts

I didn’t expect to love this cushion since I am not a total fan of tone-up creams but I am so in love with this one. It has great oil control and the I love how it has some skin care benefit due to the 33% Centella Asiatica extract added to the product. I would recommend this to everyone who loves Centalla and those with oily skin since the sebum control is just amazing!
