Review: Bonajour Eggplant Daily BHA Toner| Charis

Bonjour! Today’s review is from the brand BONAJOUR. Bonajour is a Korean brand that has created different plant based line to cater to different skin concern. They are a certified vegan brand and they are continuously discovering differently unique high class natural ingredients for our skin.

Remove unnecessary keratin and soothes your skin

This BHA toner contains 84.43% eggplant extract which means it has real LUPEOL. Lupeol is an active ingredient that can potentially act as anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial for our skin. This toner also contains willow bark extract, Salicylic acid and citric acid.

This toner comes in a plastic bottle and a box filled with necessary information about the product. It has a light purple color to it and a slight acid like scent to it.

  • When I first tried this it did leave a stingy sensation for a couple of seconds but very tolerable. I have been somewhat sensitive to citric acid these days and this one does contain citric acid but only listed at the very last.
  • On my second time using this, it didn’t leave any stingy sensation anymore and I think over the remaining days of trying it out it didn’t caused me any irritation or any other bad reaction
  • This BHA toner isn’t drying at all and leaves your skin with a supple feeling
  • This helped clear out my whiteheads and improved the textures of my skin

This is really a great BHA toner because the ingredients are really superb, but if you have really sensitive skin I wouldn’t really recommend this to you or if you are highly sensitive to salicylic acid or citric acid.

  1. Eggplant! That’s interesting. I not too familiar with AHA/BHAs, but I have a little BHA cleanser sample that I’m really liking right now. So I’d love to try this!
